In a wolf pack the leader is an alpha and the one he takes on is the omega, the power couple. Writing this first before I get into context of what it might mean to be weird with intent.
For an alpha to us would be in a group of guys even if there's a girl in your friend circle, I call it a recipe for disaster but that's not the point. The alpha is the cool guy in the group, cool being relative so for an extrovert group he would be the one who makes sure the party gets on the right track in an introvert more probably enlightens people to earn more of their respect.
Same goes for a female circle she; the cool girl, the Omega will be the one to die for I'd guess to the guys who meet them together whether or not she is available. I'd say the same thing would apply whether they are outgoing or not to determine what would it means to be Omega since I'd say for women looks are always important be it the way you dress or how you look.
When I say you are the cool one, guy or girl it's not a self appointed role neither is it just the group that decides, just the same way if a girl came to a party, girls being girls should be able to quickly tell he is the cool guy here same way if a marketer would join the group with the main intent of making all of you buy some designer product best way would be to target the group leader and let his influence cascade down the group.
I don't assume everyone will follow along, that in the peer pressure mindset you are either a sheep or a lone wold; always to a degree you take things as is so for example the cool guy in your circle might not be as good to you be it because of envy or they tend to spark your bullshit detector too often to be taken seriously... what you find is you acclimate to how much you trust him or her as a source and this easily echoes to the way you feel you should feel for them as a friend. Minus any drugs your likely to keep that stance until new info changes your mind and here is what I'd start on; a lone wolf in nature is likely not to make it, in society though if you have the right resources by that I mean you can make money being a lone wolf doesn't really matter.
I have a particular inclination to advice you to consider the life of a lone wold because to an introvert who is termed a genius a moment alone is essential to creativity, even reflecting minor details be it a heated war of words, a moment to cool down and reflect in a clam manner what to do next is what they need. Every story you hear of a fool rushing into war hot headed especially when it's an army vs an army risks walking into a trap and you should always question if you charge why your enemy remains calm and worse off if your confident and you still attack they don't seem to consider retreat.
If you think about it emotions are nothing more than hormones which guide our decision making; love and laughter have been identified to the degree we know which hormones trigger them and that's why there are drugs which can make you relaxed and even happy even if you were in a seriously bad mood. That's why a joke told once, then twice it becomes less funny and so on till if you keep checking it over and over you'll find yourself looking at it now with a critical mindset. That's why nothing is universally funny and you can't ascertain even that someone will find this to be this funny because we found it to be this funny. It's why they insert crowd laughter to comedy to stimulate laughter giving it a knock making sure at least you "remember to laugh".
Nikola Tesla said you don't need a lab to innovate you need a silent place and your mind and from what I've heard Isaac Newton was by all means to those who expected an entertainer found him to be a jerk. And it suit him well, it meant less people to deal with and more time to himself, more time to ponder about things that really matter.
There's a saying; throw me to the wolves and I'll come back leading the pack, because we all have different stories I'd say for me it means a liability is a liability however you look at it and nothing makes more sense that putting yourself first. That's what it means to be an Alpha or Omega no if's no "I miss you" should divert you from a mental target for a moment, move inside like you have the intent to kill; with determination.
With this I'd like to add one more thing consider things like phone games and other things you do to relax or distract your mind as likely taking your energy and time instead of using it to actually relax and reflect. I might not know what you will reflect on but repetitive tasks like these make mundane days and mundane tasks push time faster till you find a month and two have passed by, an event here and there to look forward to and then the year goes by.
